Hi everyone 👋
Apologies for the radio silence from our end. We’ve been taking some time to reflect on how we want to best structure this newsletter. We’re exploring ideas like more paper summaries, longer thematic pieces, interviews with members of the community, and more. We hope to come back to you in early 2025 with a refreshed version of the newsletter.
In the meantime, I know many people are gearing up for an awesome NeurIPS in Vancouver! Come and join Recursion, Valence Labs, and NVIDIA for a night of science at Science World. We’re looking forward to meeting more members of the community!
Antiviral Competition
Are you looking to test your model’s performance on a new, blind, and consistent test set? Now’s your chance! ASAP Discovery, in partnership with OMSF and Polaris, announced an antiviral competition earlier this week. ASAP Discovery will release data from their dual SARS-CoV-2 and MERS-CoV main protease (Mpro) program. You’ll be able to test your skills in 3 main sub-challenges:
Ligand Poses: Given a training set of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro X-ray structures, predict the poses of a test set of compounds for SARS-CoV-2 and MERS-CoV Mpro
Potency Prediction: Given a training set of dose-response fluorescence potency data, predict potencies for a blind set of compounds for both targets
ADMET Prediction: Given a training set of endpoints, predict the same endpoints for a blind set of compounds
Learn more about the competition (blog here) and start preparing your data loaders by looking at the sample data today!
See you at NeurIPS! 📜
